No subtitles for another app

Tap Start Live Subtitles on the Subtitles tab and choose Start Broadcast in the system sheet. A red indicator in the status bar shows the broadcast is running. Then open the other app and play.

Some apps and protected (DRM) videos block audio capture, and starting screen sharing in a meeting app ends the broadcast, because iOS allows only one at a time.

The floating window doesn’t appear

iOS shows one Picture in Picture window at a time. Close the video app’s own Picture in Picture first. Floating subtitles are part of Verbaloft Pro after the free 10-minute trial; you can always keep reading inside Verbaloft.

Languages and downloads

The first time you use a language, iOS asks to download it. After that it works offline. See what’s installed in Verbaloft Settings > Offline Languages. Some languages can be recognized but not yet translated by iOS; for those, Verbaloft shows subtitles in the original language.

Accuracy

Clear audio works best. Choose the language actually being spoken: Verbaloft cannot detect it automatically. Translations are automatic and can be wrong, so don’t rely on them where a mistake could cause harm.

Purchases and subscriptions

Manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions. Request refunds through Apple’s refund page.

Restore purchases

Open Verbaloft Settings and tap Restore Purchases while signed in with the Apple Account you bought Pro with. This also works for Lifetime.

Where your data is

Transcripts, translations, and settings stay on your device. Audio and camera images are processed on the device and not saved. Deleting a transcript deletes it for good.
